The court process involving <br />this vehicle has been completed. The State of Minnesota has issued a new title for this vehicle in the <br />City of Orono name. <br />In that the police department has no use for this vehicle we would like to liquidate the asset through <br />Minneapolis Auto Auction (MAA). MAA will run the vehicle through the auction they conduct. <br />They will keep $135 for the auction cost and $35 for sending a runner to pick up the car. If at the <br />time of sale we elect to detail the vehicle, MAA will charge $100 for that service. The total cost to <br />sell the vehicle through the MAA is either $170 or $270. <br />We have sold one other vehicle with MAA and were very pleased with the return on that sale. It was <br />substantial more than we would have expected on an in house bid process and more than off set the <br />cost charged by MAA. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />A motion to apfvove the liquidation of a surplus 1992 Chr> sler van with the vin number of <br />1C4GK54R7NX232172 through Minneapolis Auto Auction. <br />Iiwft tfitl
