MINUTES OF THE ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING Monday, September 26,2005 7:00 o ’clock p.m. (MA YOM/Cnr COVNOL REPORT, Conthuied) to establish s gate on the City’s designated public right-of-way that denies the Brooks ’ access to dieir property. He asked for City Council input. White stated that he believed the fence should be eliminated altogether. Gaffron stated that the fence is not locked currently, though the Floyds have indicated their intention to do so. He pointed out once again that the fence is in the public right-of-way. Attorney Barrett pointed out that, if the fence is in the public right of way, there is no question that the City has the legal authority to remove the gate, as Ais neighbor has no authority to block the access of the odier.
