aOuiTier <br />Su^tement to City of Orono Application for Citizen Advisory Commission <br />Work Espcriracc: <br />t am currently the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Rollerblade USA, one of two chief executives <br />reporting directly our Italian owners. I have been with Rollerblade in Minnesota for ten years. Prior to <br />Rollerblade I was a buyer for Oshmans Sporting Goods for five years representing on in*line skates and the <br />ski business. <br />EducatioB: <br />I have a bachelor of Sciences degree in accounting and finance from the University of Massachusetts. <br />Civk and Volunteer Acthflice (past and present) <br />I have no previous experience in a civic service such as the parks commission. <br />nease stale yonr reasons for wanting to serve on thb commissioB. <br />1 have a strong personal desire to get involved and give back to my community. 1 feel that my personal and <br />professional ^lls will prove to be an asset to the parks commission. I was enlightened to the idea of <br />applying to the cottuniuion from my rwighbor Pauline Bouchard. My wife Jenni and I have two small <br />boys ages 2 and 4, we are an active young femily with a fresh perspective. I consider myself to be <br />environmentally aware and feel it is very important to protect and carefully develop parks, open spaces and <br />trails within our community. <br />What ia yaar view of the mitaf thaeamaiissioB; <br />My view of the commission’s role is to represent the needs and desires of the citizens of Orono in regards <br />to the city parks, open spaces and traib.
