I <br />MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Moaday, May 9,200S <br />7:00 o’clock p.m.May > ^ <br />O/Vo <br />ROLL CALL <br />The Council met on the above mentioned date with the following members present; Mayor Barbara <br />Petersmi, Council Members Jim Muiphy, Jim White, and Lili McMillan; City Attorney Thomas Barrett; <br />Representing staff were City Administrator Ron Moorse, Planning Director Mike Gaffron, Planner <br />Melanie Curtis, Engineer Tom Kellogg, and Recorder Jackie Young. <br />Council Member Bob Sansevere arrived at 7:03 p.m. <br />Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />1.APPROVE/AMEND <br />Items 11,12,13, and 14 were added to the Consent Agenda. Item No. 10 was removed from the Consent <br />Agenda at the request of the Applicant. <br />McMillan moved, Peterson seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. <br />VOTE: AytsS,NaysO. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />*2. REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF APRIL 25,2005 <br />McMUan moved, Peterson seconded, to approve the minutes of the Regular City Council meeting <br />of April 25,2005, as snbmHted. VOTE: Aycs5,NaysO. <br />PARK COMMISSION COMMENTS - JEFF SODERSTROM, REPRESENTATIVE <br />Soderstrom addressed the City Council regarding the year-end Park Dedication Fund report, noting that a <br />S40,000 loan is still outstanding from the General Fund. Soderstrom suted the intended parkland near the <br />new Are station would never be used as a park, and requested that the loan be erased. <br />Peterson stated this item was discussed at the Council’s work session and that the Council would inform <br />the Paric Commission of the Council's decision. <br />Peterson noted the park tour is scheduled for June 6 at 5:30 p.m. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS - JIM LESLIE, REPRESENTATIVE <br />Leslie indicated he has nodiing to report but would be available for questions during the meeting. <br />PAGEl
