Lane -Resolution <br />When the usr of the HOV lane on 1-394 was restructured as a toll lane, the lane was completely <br />closed to ainglc passenger vehicles, unless they pay a toll. Prior to the toll lane, single paswnger <br />vehicles could use the HOV lane during off-peak times, and for reverse commuting, ^e clumge <br />has caused traffic delays, due to eliminating no-cost access to one of three lanes on 1394 dunng <br />the off-peak hours, and for reverse commuters. The Senate recently passed legislation calling tor <br />the reopening of the HOV lane to single passenger vehicles during off-peak hours <br />commuters. A resolution calling for the Comr»:ssioner of Transportation to address the H.O.v. <br />lane concerns will be provided at the Council meeti ig. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion regarding the resolution concerning the 1-394 H.O.V. lane.
