* <br />VlLLACn or ORO.MO <br />ORDINAI^CE J!C. 5U <br />AN ORDINANCE TO ADD TO THE MUMICIPAL CODE A CHAI'TSR DEALING WITH JOINT <br />USE OF LAKE FACILITIES. <br />THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ORONO ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Chapter 74 is hereby added to the MuniciDcl Code <br />tc read as follows: <br />"74. JOINT USE OF LAKE FACILITIES <br />74,010. License Required. Ho ;7,roup cr dss«x:i.ition oF persons <br />or families, more than two in number, whether incorporated or not, shall <br />i . <br />make any arrangement, whether through a common or cortxsratc ownership or <br />otherwise, for the joint use of any lake shore property for swimming., <br />bathing, fishing, docking or mooring boats, or for any other purpose, <br />without securing an annual license in accordance with this Chapter. <br />»« I* <br />• 4 <br />•• • <br />*' « ■“ <br />74,020. Application for License. Any person, or group or <br />association of persons or families, v;hether incorporated or not, desiring <br />such license shall apply therefor to the Village Council. Such application <br />shall be in writing, signed by the applicant and filed with the Village <br />Clerk. It shall set forth the name and residence of the applicant or <br />applicants, including the names and residences of all members of the <br />association, whether incorporated or not, and shall designate which of <br />said persons shall be regarded as the "licensee" for purposes of this <br />Chapter. It shall be accompanied by a certified copy of the Articles of <br />Incorporation and By-laws of any incorporated association, or by a certi <br />fied copy of the By-lav»s or agreement of joint use of any unincorporated <br />association or group of families. It shall also be accompanied by a <br />sketch of the proposed facilities, and a statement outlining the manner, <br />extent, and degree of joint use contemplated. The Clerk shall present <br />the application to the Village Council at its next regular meeting after <br />the filing thereof. <br />^ ,v ‘ <br />• 74,030; License Fee; Dureation. The license required by this <br />Chapter shall' cost 510 per year. The Council may seek advice of <br />.the Planning Commission regarding issuance of any such license, and may <br />restrict the joint use in such manner as it deems necessary to protect <br />the health and welfare of the Village firoro over-burdening the lake or <br />lake shore at any particular spot, having in mind (among other things) <br />parking aAd traffic problems; safety requirements for docking, mooring <br />and swimming; contamination of the lake or lake shore or any parts <br />thereof; and tha. common right to use of the lake for boat traffic of all <br />kinds.
