-I <br />January 7,2005 <br />To: Orono Planning Coirtnission <br />Re: 1379 Park Dr, <br />File no. 04*3074 <br />In June of 2003 we fouiul excavating equipment working in (he yard between the house <br />and the lake at 1379 Park Dr. A stop work order was posted, fhe homeowner, I'dgar Ot*e, <br />contacted us and we met on site. <br />Wc divided the project into three categories; <br />1. Grading near (lie house and outside the 0-75' setback <br />I'his work appeared minor and not affecting any otiicr properties or the lake. No after- <br />the-fact permit was requested for this work. <br />2. Hxcavation to create a cart path to the lake and retaining walls within 75* of the lake. <br />Mr. Otte was infonned that a CUP from the City of Orono as well as probably a permit <br />from the MCWD would be required. Mr. Otte came to City Mall and got applications and went <br />to the MCWD to start the process there. <br />3. 1 evel (d'f and plant tlic tiat area in the flood plain and on the lake .sliore. <br />This area showed some years of neglect, fhe remains of junk and equipment were being <br />cican.'d up, aiul we issued a fKTinit to level off the ground and add up to one inch of top soil to <br />prepare lUX planting. <br />Mr. Otte apoarenttv did not proceed with an application for grading at the MCWD. <br />Instead he got only a rip-rap permit.
