Rudd, <br />filed an application with the City of Orono (hereinafter tlie C'ity") requesting preliminary platting <br />of a section of public load casement located on property at 4575 Wayzata Boulevard, llie property <br />is legally described as follows: <br />The West Half of the Wc.st Half of the Northeast Qu.uler of the Southwest Quarter and the <br />cast 148.50 feet of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter all in Section 30, <br />Township 118, Range 2.1, Hennepin County, Minnesota. <br />(h .rcinaftcr "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, after due published and mailed notice in accordance with Minnesota <br />Statutes 164 ct. scq. and the City of Orono o Zoning and Subdivision Codes, the Orono Planning <br />Commission held a public hearing on May 1 5,2000, at which time all persons desiring to be heru'd <br />concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak tlicreon; and <br />WHEREAS, at their regular meeting held on June 12,2000 the Orono City Council <br />considered the subdivision application of the subdivider noting the following findings of fact; <br />FINDINGS <br />1. I he property is located within the RR-1 A Single Family Rural Residential Zoning <br />District requiring a minimum lot size of five acres diy buildablc land. <br />2.
