P52-471-1287 <br />Dear Scott, <br />As per your request we have completed the attached 8 pages of details and structural calculation <br />to deteiinir? the adequacy of existing footing load bearing capacity. <br />On Thur. Feb 3, we visited the house together with you and found no obvious soil settlement and <br />large cracks on walls and slab on grade. It is our be.st engineering judgment that the existing <br />8 ”xl6” and 8 ”x20” continuous footings can support the proposed second floor addition as shown <br />on your drawing:, dated Jan 19, 2005. <br />Page 1 of our report shows the maximum soil bearing of 1,720 psf on 8 ”xI6” footing along line <br />B. We consider this bearing amount relatively low and requires no actual soil boring <br />investigation at this time.
