ANNl’AL PliBLIC IIEAKINO FOR NPDES STORM WA IER POl.LI I ION <br />PREVENTION PI.AN <br />Ciappa addressed the City Council regarding the City’s application for a National Pollution Discharge <br />Idimmation .Sy.stem Storm Water |x.'miit. One of the requirements of this |x.‘rmit is that the City must <br />hold an annual meeting to obtain public comments on this permit and the activities associated with this <br />permit. Under the permit, the City is required lo address public education ami outreach, public <br />involvement and participation, illicit discharge and detection, construction site runoff control, post <br />construction runofi control, and pollution pieventioii and hou.sekeeping. <br />(iappa noted the City is in substantial compliance with the permit and tliat the Cit>’ has been taking steps <br />to educate the general public concerning the ('ity’s philosophy on protecting the lake and storm water <br />control (iappa noleil the (’ity conducted 551) inspections of existing septic systems this past year tti <br />ensure satisfactory o|K*ration of septic systems aiul to reduce illicit discharges as well as annual <br />ins|H’ctions and service on 45 lift stations <br />Mayor Peterson mquiied whether there were any public comnients regarding this program. <br />riicre weie no public coniments <br />Mayor Petenson clo.sed the public lieat ing at 7:07 p.m. <br />FAGEl
