The police will confirm what <br />staffing they will contribute. Contact should be made with Sgt. Kurt Erickson at 9S2-249-4731. <br />Citizen helpers for traffic control will need to wear traffic control vests. <br />Wells Fargo must notify St. Martin’s Church and lafayette Club in writing at least TWO months in <br />advance with the date and time of the race. <br />Wells Fargo will notify Minnetonka Beach and all other cities the race goes through at least I’WO <br />month in advance of die race. <br />Wells Fargo must contact lleiuiepin County Department of Transportation to advise of the race and <br />road closures that local police expect to make and request permission to allow for roads to be closed as <br />needed to allow the race to progress, noting the event has been held for twenty years. (Contact: Mike Oliverius at North Memorial, 763-520-5789) <br />Race staff shall remove all race-related garbage and debris, including signs, after completion of the <br />race. <br />By acceptance of this special event permit, the permit holder, on behalf of any and all organizations and <br />private persons, is granted authority to operate under the special event permit, and agrees to indemnify <br />md hold harmless the City of Orono from all claims arising from said event. The permit holder, all <br />organizations and private persons exercising authority under this permit, do waive and release all claims <br />against the City of Orono, its officers or employees for any damage to person or property arising from <br />the exercise of privileges granted by this permit and agrees to hold harmless the City of Orono, its <br />enqrloyees and officers from any such claim. <br />llte Orono Police Department and its officers are empowered to revoke this special event permit at any <br />time for any safety concerns that are not immediately resolved by the permit holder or a representative <br />of the permit bolder, lliis revocation shall cause the immediate cancellation of the event originally <br />authorized by this permit. <br />Approved at City Council meeting on: January 24,2005 <br />(City Seal) <br />Ronald J.
