Moorse Title City Administrator Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: City Administrator s Repoil L Item Description: Navarre Fire Rescue/Vehicle Change order The rescue vehicle for the Navarre Fire Station is ii. the process of being manufactured. As a final check on the specifications, members of the Long Lake Fire Department recently reviewed the specifications with the manufacturer. Several items were identified that needed to be changed. The list of items is attached. A brief summary of the changes is as follows: Item 1 is the deletion of adjustable .shelves and replacement with slide out/tilt down shelves in the top storage areas. This enables safer access to those shch es that firefighters have to reach over their heads to access. Item 2 is the deletion of an SCBA bottle storage tube. Item 3 is the addition of a slide out tray to enable easier and safer access to items in a low .storage compartment. Item 4 is the addition of outlets to enable more effective use of the portable generator. Item 5 is a cost reduction due to the use of existing hose on the hose reel, vs. buying new hose. Item 6 is the addition of a non-slip protective surface to all shelving areas. Item 7 is the use of LED lights vs. regular light bulbs for the clearance, brake, and turn lights, so that they can be integrated into the emergency strobe (flashing) light system. The total net cost of the additions and deletions is $2,510. fony Roc, the Long Lake Fire Administrative Officer, will attend the meeting to answer any questions the Council may have regarding the change order. COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED Motion to approve the change order for the Navarre Fire Rescue Vehicle, in the amount of $2,510, and to approve a budget adjustment in the Improvement and Equipment Outlay Fund to reflect the additional expenditure. mam
