A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF <br />GIRLS RUGBY ASSOCIATION OF MINNESOTA/ORONO GIRLS RUGBY TEAM <br />FOR A ONE DAY MINNESOTA LAWFUL GAMBLING EXEMPT R.AFFLE <br />WHEREAS, the Girls Rugby Association of Minnesota/Orono Girls Rugby Team <br />has applied to the State of Minnesota Gambling Control Board for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling <br />Exempt Pennit (Raffle) to conduct lawful gambling activities; and <br />WHEREAS, an Exempt Permit may be issued by the Minnesota Gambling <br />Control Board to nonprofit organizations conducting lawful gambling activity on five or fewer <br />days, and awarding less than $S0,U00 in prizes during a calendar year; and <br />WHEREAS, the Girls Rugby Association of Minnesota/Orono Girls Rugby Team <br />proposes to conduct a one day gambling activity (raffle) as part of a Home Game Fair and Family <br />Day Fund Raiser to be held at the Rugby Field on the Orono School Grounds located at 795 Old <br />Crystal Bay Road on Wednesday, May 11,2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p in.; and <br />WHEREAS, the Girls Rugby Association of Minnesota/Orono Girls Rugby Team <br />is required to obtain approval of the gambling activity from the city in which the activity will <br />occur. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Orono City Council does <br />hereby approve the application for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Exempt Pennit (Raffle) for the <br />Girls Rugby Association of Minnesota/Orono Girls Rugby Team to conduct a one day gambling <br />activity (raffle) at the Rugby Field on the Orono School Grounds located at 795 Old Crystal Bay <br />Road on Wednesday, May 11.2005. <br />2005. <br />ATTEST: <br />Adopted at a regular meeting of the Orono City Council this 10th day of January. <br />I inda S.
