Tlie attached information regarding <br />the responsibilities of the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization was included with the Hennepin <br />County request to establish a meeting date. <br />The County Assessor has suggested Wednesday, April 20,2005, at 7:00 p.m. as the ilatc for the <br />Local Boanl of Appeal and Equalization meeting. Bill Davy, Orono's Assessor from Hennepin <br />County, has indicated this date is acceptable with him. <br />Please Note: The attached memo from fom May, Hennepin County Asscs.sor. indicates State <br />Statute requires ihat a Local Board of Appeal and Equalization cannot be held in 2006 unless at <br />least one voting member present at the meeting has attended an appeals and equalization Gaining <br />course. The County A.ssessor and the Minnesota Department of Revenue will be offering a training <br />course on I’hursdav. Fcbnirarv .1. at 2:00 p.m. at the Maple Grove Govenunent Center. <br />The Council should discuss which members arc able to attend the training session. <br />COUNCTI.
