REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
•'ecTIfyjQ
JAN 1 0 2005
I r Uh OHONO
DATE: January 9,20U4
ITEM NO: /^
Deparimcnl Approval:
Name Ron Moorse
Tille City Administralor
Administrator Reviewed:
7.M‘2
Agenda Section:
Ciiy Administiator's Report
Item Description: 2005 Annual Appoii/nients-Resoluiion
Attached is the resolution designating annual appointments for 2005. There are a number of clianges
to be made for 2005. They arc as follows:
Acting Mayor: Mayor Peterson is proposing that Bob .Sansevere be appointed as .Acting Mayor.
Lake Minnetonka Conservation District Representative: The Council has not, at this ti'^.t.
determined a representative to serve on the LMCD Board.
Planning Commission .Alternate Members: Maureen Bellows and Daniel Kluth have been removed
from the list of alternate members. Janice Berg, F.liz;ibeth Hawn, and Sandra Smith have been
added.
Southwest Sanitary Sewer District and Suburban Health Nursing Service: Neither of these
organizations is currently active. These organizations have been deleted from the resolution.
Building Code Board of Appeals: The State Building C.'ode Division now has a Board of Appeal that
is available to Cities. Because Orono's use of a board of appeal is very infrequent, and because it is
very difficult to schedule all members of a local board of appeal, it is recommended that the City use
the State’s Board of Appeal rather than appointing a local Board of .Appeal.
COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED:
Motion to adopt a resolution amending the designation of selected appointments for the year 2005.
