Gappa <br />Title Director of Public Services <br />Administrator Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />Public Services Director's Report <br />Item Description: Casco Point Road Survey <br />The pavement on Casco Point Road and Dunwoody Avenue has reached the end of its ser\ ice life <br />and needs to be reconstructed, and there are also numerous draitiage probletns in tliis area. 'I'here are <br />also Right of Way issues associated with this project as in some areas there is a very tiarrow or no <br />platted Right of Way. We arc beginning to plan for a future project to reconstruct tlicse streets and <br />improve the drainage system. This project will also address any needed improvements to the utility <br />systems in the project ar ;a. <br />Tlie first step in this proce.ss is to obtain an accurate survey of these streets as we do not have <br />accurate or detailed enough information to plan and design a comprehensive project for road <br />reconstruction and drainage system improvements in this area. Tins survey work is currently being <br />completed as this is an opportune time to schedule this work as the survey crews are available and <br />there is not much snow. The estimated time to complete this surv ey work is appro.ximately two <br />weeks at an estimated cost of $ 13,000. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to authori/.e the surveying of Casco Point Road and Dunwoody Avenue for a future street <br />rect.nstruction and drainage project, at a cost of$l3,000, and to approve a budget adjustment in the <br />Stormwater I'und to reflect this e.xpenditure.
