MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, December 13, 2004 <br />7:00 o’clock p.m. <br />support of (he 1,500 square fool footprint. Murphy stated in his view a great deal of research has <br />been done by the applicant and a great amount of effort has been put forth by Staff. Murphy <br />indicated in light of the research and work that has been done on this matter, the application <br />should move forward. <br />Peterson inquired whether the applicant would like his application be tabled. <br />Vogstrom stated he could live with (he 1,500 square feet. <br />Barbara Essen, 2648 Casco Point Road, stated the removal of the trees has not enhanced the view <br />of the neighborhood, noting that the trees that were removed on their lot were very mature trees <br />and cannot be replaced in their lifetime. <br />Sansevere inquired how many trees the Essens lost. <br />Essen indicated they lost two mature trees. <br />Peterson inquired whether the applicant would like his application table. <br />Vogstrom indicated he does not want his application to be tabled. <br />McMillan stated she would like some calculations for hardcover on the 1,500 square foot <br />footprint, with the decision being up to the applicant on what size house he would like and <br />whether he would like a <br />two-stall or a three-stall garage. <br />Gaffron noted a resolution was adopted by the City listing the minimum standards for a driveway. <br />Barr-.;tt stated il the Council is going to deny the application, a denial resolution would need to be <br />druAed. <br />Peterson noted if the application is denied, the applicant cannot submit a new application for six <br />months. <br />Gaffron stated the applicant still needs some variances at 1,500 square feet.
