REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION DATE: January 7, 2010 ITEM NO: (.0 Department Approval: m mi istrator Reviewed: Agenda Section: Name Lin Vee (� City Administrator's Title City Clerk U Report Item Description: Extension of Hennepin County EPDB Agreement—Resolution Exhibits: A—Draft Resolution B—Letter from Hennepin County to Extend EPDB Agreement with the City of Orono C—Letter from Hennepin County to Extend EPDB Agreement with Bonestroo Rosene Anderlik On July 12, 1999 the Council approved a resolution authorizing the City to enter into an agreement with Hennepin County for use of the County's Electronic Proprietary Data Base (EPDB), which is a geographical information data base that was designed using automated mapping software to create a proprietary digitized data base. Annual renewal of the EPDB agreement is required (Exhibit B). The EPDB is used by Bonestroo Rosene Anderlik in the completion of work for the City. Bonestroo is also required to extend their agreement with Hennepin County for use of Orono's information and provide a copy of affirmation by the City of Orono that they will continue as a consultant for the City of Orono (Exhibit C). Staff is recommending approval of the attached resolution(Exhibit A) indicating that the City has retained the consulting engineering firm of Bonestroo Rosene Anderlik(BRA) to provide services to the City and authorizing the extension of the Electronic Proprietary Data Base (EPDB) Agreement with Hennepin County until December 31, 2010. COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to approve the attached resolution indicating that the City has retained the consulting engineering firm of Bonestroo Rosene Anderlik (BRA) to provide services to the City and authorizing the extension of the Electronic Proprietary Data Base (EPDB) agreement with Hennepin County until December 31, 2010.
