The applicants removed this deck because it was <br />rotting, then applied for a permit and found that variances would <br />be needed to replace it. <br />The new deck will be squared off with the house, plus a 4* x <br />10' platform and stairway leading to the parking area. Because <br />the railing of this deck will be more than 6' above grade, the <br />deck is calculated in lot coverage. Allowed lot coverage by <br />structures is 15%. With the addition of this deck, lot coverage <br />will increase from 17% to 22%. <br />Ike
