We purchased this <br />house on December 3,1990 and need to construct a lower level apartment for our domestic <br />employee before we move in April 1990. We ask that you grant this conditional use permit as <br />expeditiously as possible, so that we may complete the construction before we have to move out of <br />our old house in Minneapolis. <br />We need to construct this apanment in our new house for a domestic employee to assist our family, <br />specifically our oldest daughter, on a daily basis. Our oldest daughter 'vas bom with a wide range <br />of special needs and requires more assistance than we alone can give her. After searching for the <br />past two years, we decided to move to Orono because of the excellent public school system and the <br />responsiveness of the school district personnel to meet our daughter's special, unique needs. <br />This apanment is intended for the direct use only of a single or married domestic employee while <br />they are in our employ. We are not going to use the space as a rental apartment to produce any <br />income. The apanment will be provided as a employment benefit to the domestic employee.
