[■ r. <br />MINUTES OF THE ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />HELD MARCH 18, 1991 <br />ATTENDANCE 7:00 P.M. <br />The O’.-ono Planning Commission met on the above date with the <br />following members present; Planning Commission Chair Charlie <br />Kelley, and Planning Commission Members Maureen Bellows, Jim <br />Hanson. Planning Commission members Jonnson, Rowlette, Cohen and <br />Moos were absent. The following represented the City Staff: <br />Building and Zoning Administrator Mabu.:th, Assistant Planning and <br />Zoning Administrator Gaffron, and City Recorder Schelfler. <br />Council Representative Goetten was present, as were <br />Councilmembers Jabbour and Callahan. <br />Kelley opened the meeting at 7;L5 p.m., and stated to those <br />in the audience that the Planning Commission did not have a <br />quorum this evening. He explained that the members present would <br />review the applications on the Meeting Agenda, and would take <br />public comments, but would be unable to vote on the applications <br />this evening. Kelley further explained that the applications <br />scheduled for review this evening, would still go to the Apri.. 8, <br />1991, Council meeting. Kelley asked Mabusth if it would be <br />possible to notify all of the applicants in time to re-convene <br />this meeting, with a quorum present, later in the week. <br />Mabusth replied, "The applicants will be notified by <br />telephone of the re-convene date." <br />Kelley apologized for the inconvenience, stating that such a <br />situation had not occurred once in the past ten years he has <br />served on the Planning Commission. <br />Mabusth informed the persons in attendance, who were not <br />applicants, but interested in applications on the Agenda, that <br />they would have to contact City Staff to learn the date this <br />meeting would re-convene. <br />(#1)ZONING FILE #1457-ALAN G. CARLSON <br />3140 WATERTOWN ROAD <br />AMENDED PRELIMINARY SUBDIVISION-PUBLIC HEARING <br />Alan Carlson and Gary Peterson were present. <br />Kelley opened the Public Hearing at 7:16 p.m., and asked <br />Mabusth to provide a brief summary of the issues involved with <br />Mr. Carlson's amended plan. <br />Mabusth stated that the revised preliminary plan presented <br />to the Planning Commission this evening, responded to concerns <br />raised by Staff. She suggested that Mr. Carlson be given an <br />opportunity to explain the revised plan. <br />Carlson explained that the revised plan nov/ shov/s a road <br />that would provide a future east/west connection.
