The purpose of the action item is to approve a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) <br />between the City and Local 12 for 2023-2025. <br />2.Background / Summary. Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), Local <br />12 represents the city’s administrative employee. The current agreement expires at the end of 2022. The <br />city and Union official have been negotiation since early spring to come to new agreement. <br />3.New Agreement Highlights. The complete agreement is at exhibit A. <br />a.Duration. Three years 2023-2025. <br />b.Wages. Establishes a 6% increase in 2023, 3% COLA in 2024 and 3% COLA in 2025. <br />c.Longevity. Longevity pay is increased from $0.05 per hour per year to $0.10 per hour per year <br />for those over 8 years of service. <br />d.Holidays. Recognizes Juneteenth as a holiday. <br />4.Staff Recommendation.
