<br /> <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 7295 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITY OF ORONO <br />FLEXIBLE SPENDING PLAN <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono previously adopted a Flexible Spending Plan on January 1, 1991; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has amended the plan from time to time to comply with legal requirements <br />and add additional benefits; and <br /> <br /> WHERAS, the City would like to amend the plan to include a voluntary vision plan and increase <br />limit for the medical flexible spending account; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has recently changed Plan Administrators and a new plan has been drafted <br />by them meeting all current requirements and including all benefits offered under the plan; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a new City of Orono Flexible Spending Plan <br />effective September 1st 2022 be adopted, replacing the plan originally adopted on January 1, 1991; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any proper members of the City are hereby <br />authorized to make such contributions from the funds of the City as are necessary to carry out the <br />provisions of said plan at any time; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in the event any conflict arises between the <br />provisions of said Plan or any other applicable law or regulation (as such law or regulation may be <br />interpreted or amended), the City shall resolve such conflict in a manner which complies with such <br />law or regulation. <br /> <br />CITY OF ORONO <br /> <br />By: _______________________________ <br />Its Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />______________________________ <br /> Its City Clerk
