V- f <br />J <br />M <br />berrono*s existing <br />presume that <br />br^iraddition <br />»ady directly <br />iS>. <br />% <br />■ff! <br />J: ■■ .S <br />111 <br />ff <br />I, <br />ilWBiar .ir*-- <br />ISSUE #6: <br />Page 3 <br />UTILITIES <br />PRACTICAL AVAILABILITY <br />Long Lake has an 8” water main located in part north of Wayzata <br />Boulevard directly in front of the proposed McDonald’s site. <br />Orono's existing 8” water main serving the industrial and school <br />properties joins Long Lake's system on the Northeast corner of <br />Wayzata Boulevard and Willow Drive and includes a tee for a <br />future connection to the east. <br />Long Lake also has a sanitary sewer line on the south side of <br />Wayzata Boulevard at Virginia Avenue. <br />The engineering solution to providing sewer and water to these <br />properties would most likely be as follows: <br />Sewer: Extend a new Orono lateral sewer from <br />the existing Long Lake line at Virginia Avenue <br />across to the north side of Wayzata Boulevard, <br />then westward up the hill as far as needed <br />along the Reber, Wear and Ringer properties. <br />Water: Construct a new Orono watermain loop <br />also on the northside of Wayzata Boulevard <br />between the existing tee on Willow Drive to <br />the existing Long Lake line near Brown Road. <br />MCDONALDS <br />McDonalds has petitioned Orono for sewer and water service <br />Lake has turned-down McDonald's request for direct service from <br />ow, but sized and designed to become part of an overall system <br />whenever the remainder of Reber's property is developed. <br />ISSUES <br />Allocation of available sewer units among all properties <br />fn service now, or likely to petition for sLvice <br />in the future.
