Extensions. No multiple dock or mooring area or <br />commercial dock shall extend across the extended zone line <br />between sites zoned differently by a municipality. (As Amended <br />Ord. No. 18, Sec. 3) <br />« <br />Subd. 7. Unusual Configurations. Where the provisions of <br />this ordinance would cause the authorized dock use area of two or <br />more sites to overlap, or where there is any other unusual con­ <br />figuration of shoreline or extended lot lines, which causes a <br />conflict between the owners of two or more adjacent or nearby <br />sites as the use of the same area of the lake for docks, mooring <br />areas or other structures or for reasonable access thereto, the <br />owner of any of the affected sites may apply to the Board for a <br />variance pursuant to Section 3.04. A variance may be (a) to <br />permit the applicant to locate a dock, mooring area or other . <br />structure in a location different from that permitted by this <br />ordinance or (b) to permit or require the owner of any adjacent <br />or nearby site to do so. <br />Subd. 8. Docks: Dimension Limits. A dock as defined in <br />Section 3.01, Subdivision 2, may exceed six feet, excluding <br />posts, in either its length or width, but not both; provided, <br />however, that docks which are in existence on June 30, 1982 and <br />which are in compliance with all the provisions of the LMCD Code <br />other than this Section 3.02, Subd. 8 shall be allowed to con­ <br />tinue in their present form without expansion or modification <br />until such time as. such docks are replaced or until 50% or more <br />of any such dock is damaged or destroyed. (As amended, Ord. <br />No. 12, Sec. 2; Ord. No. 55.) <br />Subd. 9. Shoreline Requirements. a) No new docks or moor­ <br />ing areas other than commercial docks shall be constructed or <br />established which provide space for or are used for mooring or <br />docking a greater number of watercraft than one for^each 50 feet <br />of continuous shoreline in existence on May 3, 1978. When mea­ <br />surements determining the number of watercraft allowed result in <br />the provision of a fractional watercraft, any fraction up to and <br />including one half (1/2) shall be disiegarded, and fractions over <br />one half (1/2) shall allow one additional watercraft.
