They include: <br />1. Existing Site Plan <br />2. Proposed Site Plan <br />3. Sketch of proposed addition <br />4. Engineer's report of site drainage control <br />Discussed further in this letter are several aspects of the .proposeal that may <br />not be apparent from the drawings. <br />From our discussions* Calvary Memorial will continue to operate its elementary <br />school program in addition to its regular church functions. The school program <br />is now and is expected to be adequately served by the number of classrooms and <br />areas within the existing building. The Churdi, however, anticipates the need <br />for a proper sanctuary to seat a congregation of up to 600 parishoners as well <br />as additional adult conferencing areas for the regular church functions on <br />Sundays. These would be provided in the addition to the existing building. <br />As shown on the Proposed Site Plan, such an addition is limited in size due to <br />the available site area within the building setback lines. It is possible to <br />provide I3I parking spaces on site, allowing a sanctuary seating capacity of <br />524* This ratio of 1 parking space for every 4 seats in the main assembly hall <br />meets the city zoning ordinance requirements. <br />The addition is expected to be constructed of exterior materials similar to <br />those of the existing building such that it "ties in" visually and gives a <br />pleasing architectural appearance. The sketch shows how the addition may look <br />in relation to the existing building. The s-te would Include an outside play <br />area for the elementary school children with swing sets, sand box, and other <br />play equipment similar to those now used. The new play area would be located <br />on the County Road 15 side of the site, as is the existing play area, but is <br />protected from roadway hazard by the existing chain link fence.
