V., uiix-os an integral part of the principal <br />building, shall be erected, altered, or moved within ton foot of <br />the principal building. <br />Subd. 13. Garages. Accessory buildings which are for <br />the storage of automobiles shall have the doors thirty feet or more <br />from the property line when said doors face on a public alley or <br />street. <br />Subd. 14. Yar^.s and Open Spaces. <br />A. Reduction Prohibited. No yard or other open <br />space shall be reduced in area or dimension so as to make such <br />yard or other open space less than the minimum required by the <br />Zoning Chapter and if the existing yard or other open space as <br />existing is less than the minimum required, it shall not be further <br />reduced. <br />B. Application to Only One Dwelling or Group. No <br />required yard or other open space allocated to a building o.*: <br />dwelling group shall be used tc satisfy yard, other open spaces, or <br />minimum lot area requirements for any other building or dwelling <br />group. <br />Subd. 15. Non-Encroachments. The following shall not be <br />considered to be encroachments on yard requirements: <br />A. Chimneys, flues, belt courses, leaders, sills, <br />pilasters, lintels, ornamental features, mechanical devices, <br />cornices, eaves, gutters and the like, provided they do not extend <br />more than 1-1/2 feet, off-street parking except as hereinafter <br />regulated. <br />B. Name plate signs for one family dwellings; <br />lights for illuminating parking areas, loading areas or yards for <br />safety and security purposes, provided the direct source of light <br />not visible from the public right-of-way or adjacent residentialIS <br />property maj be located to within five feet of the front lot line. <br />C. P'ences which do not exceed 3-1/2 feet in height, <br />fences nov. over six feet in height along the front lot line of lake <br />frontage lots which front on a major thoroughfare, terraces, steps, <br />uncovered porches, stoops or similar structures, which do not <br />extend above the height of the ground floor level of the principal <br />building and extend to a distance of not less than two feet from <br />any lot 1ine. <br />r-D.
