§10.03 <br />K. Essential Services. This Zoning Chapter shall <br />require a permit for all structures including utility polos, and <br />right-of-ways which are an integral part of a system for public <br />transportation, as for transmitting power, water, heat, communica <br />tions, gas or sewage by any public utility. The Council shall <br />grant a conditional use permit only after a showing that the public <br />safety, health and welfare will not be harmed by the essential <br />services. <br />Subd. 18. Farming. All farms in existence on January 1, <br />1975 shall be permitted to continue operation subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />A. No new "stock farms" shall be created or <br />existing stock farms enlarged more than twenty-five percent (25%) <br />in animals over one year old except under the provisions of a <br />conditional use permit. In considering any such permit, the <br />maximum number and type of animals to be kept shall be determined. <br />The site design and method of operation shall bo reviewed and the <br />Council shall find that the proposed "stock farm", if in existence, <br />will not in its opinion be detrimental to the public safety and the <br />general welfare. <br />B. The establishment of any new building for the <br />housing of animals or fowl shall be located 150 feet or more from <br />the nearest offsite residence. <br />C. Products produced on the farm may be sold at <br />retail. One (.emporary roadside stand may be established Cor <br />conducting such business.
