Zoning File #1524 <br />May 17, 1990 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />There is clearly adequate parking space, school room space <br />and space in play area to support the current preschool. In <br />fact, it is staff's recommendation that this conditional use <br />permit be Issued based on a preschool program for either a hair <br />day or full day schedule. If there is an expansion to day care <br />or a latch key program connected with the Orono schools, staff <br />would ask that a new conditional use permit be required. <br />The applicant has submitted a conprehensive package on the <br />preschool operation. Mrs. Hallquist welcomes any questions <br />members may have concerning the operation. <br />Staff Recoofliendation - <br />To grant approval of a conditional use permit for Trinity <br />Preschool to be located at the Trinity Lutheran Church located at <br />2060 Sixth Avenue North, finding all pertinents sections of the <br />code have been satisfied by the applicant. Such approval is <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />1. This application is approved for a preschool use either <br />for half day or full day schedules. Any expansion into day <br />care or a latch key type program connected to the local <br />school district would be subject to approval of a new <br />conditional use permit. <br />2. As outdoor play area is not fenced, the City must ask <br />that a 2-staff/15-student ratio be m«intained during outdoor <br />play/recreation sessions. <br />■
