Zoning File #1543 <br />June 14, 1990 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />The applicant proposes the installation of four pillars to <br />be installed at the entrances of each curb cut (review Exhibit <br />E). The pillars will be approximately 5' high and 2'3"x2'3" <br />square. The existing pillar has been placed 10* off the traveled <br />road. Upon an inspection of the site, the pillars would appear <br />to create no hazard to the public who use the roadway as they are <br />positioned behind mature, natural screening. <br />Unfortunately staff is unable to locate plan drawings <br />referenced by applicant in his previous correspondence with the <br />Public Works Director, but we have been able to locate the <br />photographs and the survey. Mr. Reed has since advised that he <br />had no formal plan drawings but will provide elevations at our <br />meeting. <br />Options of Action - <br />A) Denial. If denied, please refer to the necessary findings <br />within the variance sections of the code; or <br />B) Approval, allowing the pillars to be installed at the <br />entrance of each drive to be placed at a minimum of 10* from <br />the traveled roadway for Old Long Lake Read.
