Also, because a 50 setback is <br />also required from your north lot line along Lakeview Avenue, it appears <br />t^t no portion of the deck can be approved without a variance. <br />Because the deck has already been partially constructed, your options <br />would be as follows: <br />1. Remove the deck in its entirety. <br />2^ Remove all portions of the deck that have platform height more <br />than 30" above grade and remove railings from the portion that remains <br />or lower the de^ck so that it doesn't need a railing. A Fl^^form deck <br />which does not extend above the main floor levex and which does not <br />need railings, would not have to meet setbacks. This woula eliminate <br />the portion over your ole' garage, but might allow some aeck to remain <br />near the front entry area. <br />3^ AddIv for a front and side street setback variance. The cost of <br />variance application is $175.00, and your application <br />submittals would have to be in by 12:00 noon, Friday, July 27th to <br />meet the next Planning Commission deadline. <br />A building permit cannot be issued for the structure and you mus^ <br />cease work on it until this matter is resolved.
