2. <br />•3 <br />[1 <br />4. <br />Minimizing the length of the road is consistent with <br />Orono City Code Section 11.32.subd.2.b.4. which states <br />that "roadways shall be laid out . . . to require the <br />minimiun number of roadways necessary to provide <br />convenient and safe access to property." <br />At the September Planning Commission review, the <br />commission specifically recommended that I consider the <br />use of such an outlet to access the northern properties <br />and suggested that I go out to the Hunt Farm <br />Subdivision which utilized the outlet concept to access <br />two properties. <br />The Outlet B plan is consistent with other subdivisions <br />with similar topographical considerations such as Hunt <br />Farm and North Stream. <br />To summarize, Outlet B provides a far more aesthetic access <br />to properties than using a wide, more lengthy road, and it is in <br />furtherance of Orono City Code and consistent with the Planning <br />Commission's prior recommendation and prior Orono subdivisions. <br />Very truly yours. <br />Alan G.
