March 20, 2007 <br />Project No. 07-0223 <br />To: Steve Sigel <br />1399 Park Road <br />Orono, MN 55364 <br />MSE.Mortaring <br />M Mflnipn Fm <br />Subject: Segmental Retaining Wall Design and Analysis, Sigel Residence, 1399 <br />Park Road, Orono, MN. <br />In accordance with your request, Mortarless Systems Engineering (MSE) has prepared a <br />design and analysis of the segmental retaining wall's (SRW's) proposed for your <br />Residence, 1399 Park Road, Orono, MN. <br />Based upon our retaining wall analyses, it is MSE's opinion that the subject proposed <br />SRW's will be internally and externally stable provided the specific recommendations <br />contained herein this report, and the general construction recommendations of Anchor's <br />Concrete Segmental Retaining Wall System specifications, are incorporated in the <br />construction of the subject SRW's. <br />Backfill used in the reinforced zone shall meet the requirements in Anchor's Concrete <br />Segmental Retaining Wall System specifications item 2.01 E. <br />Internal drainage systems, other than the minimum 12" of drainage rock behind the block, <br />are not required.
