Commissioner Richard Crosby III was absent. Representing Staff were City Attorney Leah Koch, <br />City Administrator/Engineer Adam Edwards, Finance Director Ron Olson, and City Planner Laura <br />Oakden. <br /> <br />Mayor Walsh called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />1. VOTE: Ayes 3, Nays <br />0. <br />PRESENTATION <br />HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMISSIONER CHRIS LATONDRESSE <br />Mr. LaTondresse noted local government is built on strong partnerships which are his main message <br />tonight; he promises to do his part to ensure the partnership between Hennepin County and Orono stays <br />strong. He updated the Council regarding the County government, beginning with a moment of <br />remembrance for those who lost their lives to Covid-19, including 2,630 Hennepin County residents, as <br />well as gratitude for the frontline workers, healthcare heroes, educators, and local governments. Mr. <br />LaTondresse noted over 74% of Hennepin County residents are fully vaccinated offering better protection <br />from the virus and putting everyone on the path to normalcy.
