The purpose of this action item is to gain approval for the disposal of unclaimed <br />property. <br /> <br />2. Background. The Orono Police Department has unclaimed property. The unclaimed <br />property was found or abandoned within the city. The following property has not been claimed. <br />All of the property has been in the department’s possession for more than 60 days. The police <br />department considers the property as abandoned property and would like to dispose through K- <br />Bid or similar public auction. <br /> <br />3. Disposal of Unclaimed Property. The Following abandoned property will be disposed of. <br /> <br />a. Coco Carmen women’s purse <br />b. Cabela’s soft sided bag containing misc. hand tools <br />c. California Pac backpack with misc. comic books <br />d. Schumacher 10 amp battery charger <br />e. Stanley plastic tool box containing misc. junk and small hand tools <br />f. Extreme Garage floor dryer <br />g. Horizon brand sledge hammer <br />h. 55” TV with broken screen (city clean up) <br />i. Auto exhaust system with Catalytic converter half cut out <br /> <br />4. Staff Recommendation.
