These setbacks generally prohibit improvements within a required yard. <br /> Additionally,the code permit certain improvements within those setbacks. These <br /> • improvements include fences, entrance monuments, retaining walls, etc. and are considered <br /> non-encroachments. <br /> Irrigation systems are listed as an accessory use, but without being listed in the non- <br /> encroachment section, must maintain accessory structure setbacks. The placement of irrigation <br /> systems within required yards, along the property lines, or even in adjacent rights of way is a <br /> common practice. The proposed ordinance adds an irrigation systems as a permissible non- <br /> encroachment. Staff sees the amendments as a housekeeping action. <br /> Public Comments <br /> To date, no public comments have been received. <br /> Issues for Consideration <br /> 1.
