The Olsons bought <br /> the home in the �'all of 85 ' . This syste would have been illegal at <br /> that time also. The soil condidtions wo ld be the same today as <br /> in 1985 . <br /> The soils on this site are typical of SC soils mapped - KkB - Kilkenny <br /> loam. A seasonally high water table was located at 18" , 28" & 30" , <br /> (mottled soil ) . Due to the seasonally h gh water table, a Pressurized .� <br /> Mound System will need to be installed. The bottom of the rock bed <br /> must be located at least 3 ' abov� the se sonally high water table. <br /> The soils at a depth of 12" have a perco ation rate averaging 5 . 4 <br /> min/inch and are adequate for treating s ptic effluent. <br /> A pumping chamber will need to be instal ed to lift the effluent to the <br /> treatment area. <br /> The existing tanks are a block type & wi 1 need to be replaced. Pump <br /> &- fill with soil . � <br /> The manifold and supply line pipe must h ve back drainage to the pumping <br /> chamber. The distribution pipes shall h ve their ends capped. Be sure <br /> the rock and sand fill material are clea . The sod layer below the <br /> entire mounded area must be turned over, just break up the sod, be sure <br /> not to over work. <br /> The power supply and switches must be lo ated outside the manhole and <br /> pumping chamber in a weather proof enclosure .
