Our method for analyzing bluffs is to plot <br /> a cross section of the bluff contour-by-contour, establish the sl pe percentage between each contour line, and <br /> establish the top of bluff as the contour point below which the lope becomes (i.e. changes to) greater than <br /> 18% and above which the slope for a distance of 50' from that break point stays at 18% or less. This method <br /> has consistently resulted in a 'top of bluff line that reasonably atches the visual top of bluff. <br /> I have attached an example of a bluff analysis that was prepa d for another site in Orono. <br /> Let us know if you have any questions. <br /> Christine� <br /> i <br />
