Town of Orono Ordinances <br /> A. July 10, 1950 - Adoption of Zoning Ordinances "establishing zoning <br /> districts and enacting regulations and restrictions in the uses of <br /> properties therein": <br /> 1. Established the following districts as "private residential" <br /> with no lot size/width restrictions : <br /> a. Casco Point District (in Section 20 ) <br /> b. Shadywood District (in Section 17 and 8 ) <br /> c. Spring Park District ( in Section 17 ) <br /> d. Baldur Park District (in Section 8 ) <br /> e. Bohn ' s Point District ( in Section 9 & 10 ) <br /> f. "High School Site of School Eleven" District <br /> (in Sectin 28 and 33 ) <br /> 2. Established the "Orono District" in Sections 2, 3 , and 35 as <br /> a private residential district with minimum building lot area of <br /> 11 acres . <br /> 3. Established the "Stubbs Bay District" in Sections 5 , 6 , 8 , <br /> 31 , and 32 as a' private residential district with minimum <br /> building lot area of 1 acre. <br /> 4. Established the "Brackett's Point District" in Sections 10 <br /> and 11 comprising a commercial sub-district in the area north of <br /> Tanager Lake Bridge, the remainder of the district designated as <br /> a residential district with no lot size/width restrictions. <br /> B. July 10, 1950 - Adoption of a supplemental Zoing Ordinance to that <br /> listed above, establishing the "North Orono District" in Sections 2, <br /> 3, 25, 26, 27, 34, 35, and 36 as a private residential district wth no <br /> lot size or width restrictions. <br /> C. November 20 , 1950 - Adoption of further supplemental Zoning <br /> Districts as follows : <br /> 1. "Carmans Bay District" in Sections 20 and 21, comprised of a <br /> commercial district and a residential district with no lot size <br /> or width restrictions. <br /> 2. "Crystal Bay District" in Sections 3 , 4 , 9 , 10 and 15 , <br /> comprised of a commerical district in the area commonly known as <br /> "Crystal Bay" , and a residential district with no lot size or <br /> width restrictions. <br />
