NE, Hanover, MN 55341 <br />(763)498-8779 Fax (763) 498-8290 <br />December 12, 2012 <br />Pamela Gregory <br />385 Stubbs Bay Road N <br />Orono, Hennepin County <br />ORONO COPY <br />This on-site Sewage Treatment System is designed for a Type I three-bedroom home in <br />accordance with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Chapter 7080 and local ordinances. <br />The periodically saturated soils were located at 18-22 inches (mottled soil). Due to the <br />periodically saturated soils, a pressurized mound system will need to be installed to treat the <br />septic effluent. The bottom of the treatment area must be located at least 3' above the saturated <br />soils. <br />All neighboring wells are greater than 100' from proposed treatment areas. ORONO COPY <br />The soils at a depth of 12" have a percolation rate averaging 4 MPI. <br />The existing septic tanks must he abandoned. Two new 1000 gallon septic tanks need to be <br />installed. <br />A variance may be needed for the septic tanks to be closer than 50 feet from the wetland. F//o <br />All new tanks need to be insulated if there is less than two feet of cover over the top of the tanks. <br />Clean outs must be installed on the end of the laterals for maintenance. <br />The suuPly line must be laid as a directional bored force main below frost and be pressure <br />tested. <br />A 1000 gallon pumping chamber will need to be installed to lift the effluent to die treatment area. <br />The power supply and switches must be located outside the manhole and pumping chamber in a <br />weatherproof enclosure. A warning device must be installed with light and sound devices; this is <br />in case of a pump failure. <br />Nothine other than gray water.
