The system consists of 1-
2000 gallon septic tank, 1 -1000 gallon pump tank, a pressurized mound system with
a 10' x 50' rock bed, built in 2013 for a 4 bedroom home. To complete the inspection
the test holes were thawed using propane heaters.
This site has had 2 previous soil verifications, 1 from Marty's Excavating when he
designed the system & 1 by the City of Orono. SB#1 south end found mottled soil at
19" (1.671) & SB#3 north end at 24" (2').
Soil borings completed by SP Testing, Inc. on February 16th in SB#1 through the
mound (north end) found 2.1' of sand below the rock bed leaving a 3.1' separation
from the bottom of the rock bed & redox features.
