Box 66 <br />Orono, MN 55323 <br /> <br />RE: North Shore Drive Ravine Stabilization Project <br /> <br />Dear Adam: <br /> <br />As requested, we have prepared a scope of services and fee estimate for the North Shore Drive Ravine <br />Stabilization Project. It is our understanding that this project consists of stabilizing the ravine within the <br />lake access area between 4745 and 4731 Nort h Shore Drive. <br /> <br />Proposed Scope of Engineering Services <br />To assist the city with this improvement project, Bolton & Menk proposes the following scope of <br />services: <br /> <br />Project Coordination and Site Assessment <br />• Coordinate plan objectives and schedule with City staff. <br />• Conduct site visit and review existing information. <br />• Survey topography of ravine and adjacent area, including location of trees with diameters 6” or <br />greater. <br />• Analyze hydrologic and hydraulic conditions to determine stormwater runoff peak flow rates a nd <br />volumes. <br />• Coordinate ravine stabilization solutions with City staff. <br />• Coordinate and meet with the city as necessary to review plan progress and design <br />recommendations. <br /> <br />Final Design <br />• Prepare Construction Plans and Specifications. <br />• Prepare Engineer’s Estimate of work proposed. <br />• Coordinate review of plans with City staff and revise as necessary per comments provided. <br /> <br />Bidding Process and Permitting <br />• Prepare bidding documents and solicit bids from multiple contractors. <br />• Answer bid questions, meet with contractors, and prepare any necessary addenda. <br />• Review and tabulate bids. <br />• Provide a construction contract award recommendation. <br />• Coordinate plan review and permit requirements with the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District. <br /> <br /> <br />
