BOX 66
Crystal Boy, BN• 55323
Re: Home Foundation Watertown Road
Richard Aeidem, Builder
~ I
Dear Mr. Jacobs:
On this date I inspected the referenced foundation
to view the damage to the foundation walls caused
apparently by frost heave.
It is my opinion that the damage has been caused
by the frost heaving the foundation and that when
the frost goes out of the ground the wall will ra-
turn nearly to its origninal position and the cracks
can then be repaired. It probably would be better
not to backfill until the frost is out of the ground.
I understand that reinforcing was placed in the
footings before pouring. This should tend to hold the
•
•
footing together so that damage to the footing is
lessenec . The final product should be satisfactory
for the use intended, that is of course aanuming
that the footings were initially placed on satis-
factory bearing material.
if we can be of further service please feel free to
call.
Sincerely,•
1.1
• 4/..•
rrencis G.
