As an Orono community member for the past 15 years.I have driven by Long Lake almost <br /> every day and often wished I was one of the lucky ones with a home on the water. <br /> The rowing club has added a mysterious allure to the lake. It is so serene to see the boats gently gliding through the <br /> tranquil water on a misty summer morning.When I read the articles of the regatta success the club brings home with <br /> them,it adds to my pride in being an Orono/Long Lake resident. What a fascinating and unusual sport and we are <br /> so lucky to be able to engage and support the young and old who are working so hard at it. <br /> I was so intrigued with the sport.that I decided to join the club. I have been amazed at the group's small town feel <br /> and welcoming attitude. They are dedicated to fitness and inclusivity for the entire community.
