From: Adam Edwards
ilk
To: "Kristen Hutchison"
Cc: Melanie Curtis
Subject: RE: Letter of Support for LLRC Boathouse
Date: Tuesday,January 11,2022 4:02:09 PM
Kristen,
Thank you. I'll forward your letter on to our planning department for inclusion in the planning
packet.
Adam
From: Kristen Hutchison [mailto:kristen.hutchisonl@gmail.com]
Sent: Monday,January 10, 2022 9:14 AM
To:Adam Edwards<aedwards@ci.orono.mn.us>
Subject: Letter of Support for LLRC Boathouse
Hello Adam,
My name is Kristen Hutchison and I live at 2700 Georgia Avenue South, Saint Louis
Park, MN 55426. I found LLRC about two years ago, as I was missing the beloved
sport. I rowed for two years in college and now I am 30 years old. LLRC has given me .
a community and an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sport again. The people who
work tirelessly to keep the program going are true cornerstones of the rowing
community in MN. I was so excited to find LLRC and to get back out on the water.
Having a boathouse as a permanent home would be a huge step forward for the
entire Orono community. Getting more exposure for the sport out to the community
will introduce the sport to more people and they will find out why rowing is so special.
I fully support the movement towards a boathouse within Summit Park. Throughout
the pandemic, a sense of community has been even more important and the
welcoming rowing community at LLRC would be a powerful addition in creating future
connections with the locals and new rowers.
Be well,
Kristen Hutchison
Linkedln
cell: 952.212.9492
