As an Orono community member for the past 15 years, I have driven by <br /> Long Lake almost every day and often wished I was one of the lucky ones with a home on the water. <br /> The rowing club has added a mysterious allure to the lake. It is so serene to see the boats gently gliding <br /> through the tranquil water on a misty summer morning. When I read the articles of the regatta success <br /> the club brings home with them, it adds to my pride in being an Orono/Long Lake resident. What a <br /> fascinating and unusual sport and we are so lucky to be able to engage and support the young and old <br /> who are working so hard at it. <br /> I was so intrigued with the sport,that I decided to join the club. I have been amazed at the group's <br /> small town feel and welcoming attitude. They are dedicated to fitness and inclusivity for the entire <br /> community.
