9 <br />11.02 Usage and Reporting: Employees may not accrue more than 240 hours of vacation, at the end of the <br />fiscal year. Each Employee shall be informed of their unused accrued vacation on their paycheck. Vacation can <br />be used after 6 months of service, from start date. Regular part-time employees over 20 hours per week receive <br />a prorated accrual based on hours worked relative to full-time hours worked. Seasonal and temporary employees <br />are not eligible. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 12 <br />HOLIDAYS <br /> <br />12.01 Full-time: Full-time Employees shall be granted twelve (12) paid holidays as follows: <br /> <br />New Year's Day <br />Martin Luther King Jr. Day <br />Presidents Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Veterans Day <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Day After Thanksgiving Day <br />Business Day Before Federal Christmas Holiday <br /> Federal Christmas Holiday <br />Floating Holiday (1) Employee option if not designated by the City. <br /> <br /> <br />ARTICLE 13 <br />VACANCIES AND JOB POSTING <br /> <br />13.01 Posting of Vacancies: All permanent vacancies in the appropriate unit shall be posted. <br /> <br />13.02 Application for Vacancies: All Employees under this agreement, including those on lay-off status, <br />may submit application in writing for any vacancy which is posted pursuant to this Article. <br /> <br />13.03 Remote Notice: All Employees who are not actively working may access the City of Orono website. <br /> <br />13.04 Filling Vacancies: Notice of the candidate selected to fill the vacancy shall be given to the designated <br />steward and the Union office upon submission of the information to payroll. <br /> <br />13.05 Promotion Positions: <br /> <br />13.051 For purposes of this section, a promotion is defined as moving to a classification involving <br />an increase in pay per hour. <br /> <br /> 13.052. Promotion probationary period will be three (3) months, during which time Employees may <br />be reassigned to their previous position at Employer's discretion. <br /> <br />13.06 Trial Period: New Position: Within the first three (3) months actually worked in the new position, the <br />Employee has the right to return to the position formerly held. <br /> <br /> <br />ARTICLE 14 <br />SENIORITY <br /> <br />14.01 Seniority: Seniority will be determined by an Employee's length of continuous full time service with the <br />Employer and posted in an appropriate location. Seniority will be a factor for transfers, promotions, and layoffs when <br />all job-relevant qualification factors are equal. <br />
