The purpose of this item is for City Council to accept the sanitary sewer and water utilities <br />within the Willow Bay development. <br /> <br />2. Background. The Willow Bay development development was approved subject to the terms of the <br />Development Contract, Willow Bay Sanctuary, LA19-000033, executed by the developer and the City <br />August 26th, 2019. Per the contract the sanitary sewer and water utilities are to be a public facilities <br />owned, operated and maintained by the City of Orono. The utilities portion of the Project is complete <br />and the as-built surveys received by the city in accordance with the Development Agreement. <br /> <br />3. Public Improvements. The development infrastructure that is public include the water system and <br />the sanitary sewer system. <br /> <br />4. Staff Recommendation. I recommended formal acceptance of the water and sanitary sewer <br />systems. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Adopt the attached resolution accepting the sanitary sewer system improvements within Southways as <br />public facilities. <br /> <br /> <br />Exhibits <br />A.
