Purpose: To publish Requests for Proposals for Building Inspection, Code Review, and <br />Code Enforcement Services (collectively Building Services). <br /> <br />2. Background: This item was introduced to the City Council on October 26th. At that time, <br />Councilmember Johnson volunteered to serve on the review committee. Since then, the <br />committee has met with our current vender to better understand industry expectations of the <br />process. The Committee also recommends the revised RFP. <br /> <br />The revised RFP is attached as Exhibit A. It requests proposals to complete required services <br />(Building Official/ Building Inspection) and optional services (Septic, Code Enforcement). If the <br />selected firm does not does these optional services, other providers will need to be identified. <br /> <br />3. Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends approval of the Building Services RFP and to <br />establish an ad-hoc Building Services RFP review committee. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to Approve Request for Proposals for Building Services and the appointment of an ad- <br />hoc Building Services RFP review committee. <br /> <br /> <br />Exhibits <br />A.
