The applicant is requesting a hardcover variance to allow for an addition to the home over <br />an existing driveway. <br /> <br />2. Background. The applicants are proposing to build a garage addition. The property is currently <br />over in hardcover (33.84%). The applicant has designed the addition for most of the garage to be located <br />over existing driveway. The applicant is also proposing to remove the existing driveway turn-around <br />lowering the overall hardcover to (29.62%). A hardcover variance is required due to the change in nature <br />of the hardcover from driveway to building and for a small new portion of hardcover on the property. <br /> <br />3. 15.99 Deadline. Data application was considered as complete on May 22, 2020. The 60-Day review <br />period expires on July 21, 2020. <br /> <br />4. Planning Commission Vote and Comment. The Planning Commission reviewed the application and <br />held a public hearing on June 15th. Commissioners commented on the effort the applicant made to place <br />the proposed addition over the existing driveway and the decrease in overall hardcover for the site. The <br />commission voted unanimously in favor of the application. <br /> <br />5. Public Comment. The applicant has provided signed neighbor acknowledgement. No other <br />comments have been received. <br /> <br />6. Staff Recommendation.
